1. Invitation to the 12th-14th February meeting in Berlin

Dear International friends of Ende Gelände, come to our gathering in Berlin on the second weekend of February. We warmly invite all who want to actively participate in the organisation and execution of our action in Mai. Ende Gelände is an open process . So if you are thinking about joining the fight against coal and for our climate, meet us in Berlin!

Friday we will start around 17h and end around 15h on the Sunday. Over the course of the weekend we will introduce you to our working structure and the state of mobilisations. But as much as getting people on board, this is a weekend meant for work. Which is good because it will allow you to step right into our processes, be that press, action planning, international mobilisations or camp/infrastructure.

For those new to Ende Gelände, please be there rather early on Friday. This will allow us to get to know you and you to communicate to us what it is that brings you there.

We have organised accommodation and childcare for the meeting.

For registration or any questions you might have, write to us at:

2. Break Free From Fossil Fuels

This is where in the coming newsletters we will keep you updated about what is happing in the global climate movement. Our action in Lusatia is but one piece in a collective uprising against fossil capitalism and its minions. In Mai 2016 thousands of us worldwide will carry out disruptive actions of civil disobedience against the infrastructure of the climate catastrophe. Under the slogan “Break Free From Fossil Fuels” there will be actions in Nigeria, Canada, Indonesia, Turkey and many others countries.

Already, people from all over the globe have expressed their support; and the campaign has not even started. In February the mobilisation for this cascade of actions against fossil fuel infrastructure will take off and show that our movement can fly.

If you want to dig into the global movement, sign up to the Newsletter at breakfree2016.org

3. The situation in the Hambacher Forst

The occupation at the Hambacher Forst is under attack! Every year, to extend their mine, RWE cuts down another part of the beautiful old forest. This is happing now and the people from the occupation need every help they can get to sabotage this ongoing insanity. If you have any free days until end of February, come to the Hambacher Forst, support the local struggle and fight at their side against the fossil industry.

Auf geht’s, ab geht’s – Ende Gelände!

In solidarity, M.
